The Annual ‘The 12 Horror Stories of Christmas Club’

Hey all! This is very active time of the year for horror stories during the holidays. And for us horror readers, what’s the best digital stocking stuffer out there! Yes indeed it’s more horror fiction.

During the past couple of seasons, when I ran my own blogger site, we ran an official 12 Horror Stories of Christmas. This was my very own Yuletide book club each year where my readers and I got together to discuss 12 Christmas stories.

During my 12 Horror Stories of Christmas 2020, I have 12 different horror short stories lined up to read this year. These all look to bring the joy of dread back into the holiday!

CHECK OUT THE 12 HORROR STORIES SELECTED FOR OUR 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS

I’m inviting IndieMuse readers to my annual short story read-a-thon to support indie authors and publishers. This is the perfect place to begin my tradition anew!!!!!

Anyone who wants to join me is welcome and I will always keep it as cheap as possible. All of the stories are available in Kindle and are part of the Kindle Unlimited program (so they can be borrowed for free). Also, buying or reading these will benefit indie authors and publishers.

It’s simple: there is one short story to be read each day and will be discussed through the Disqus comments section on this page.

Some stories may be your new favorite Christmas classic, others might be a bust, and some you may have already read (and are all ready to discuss). I haven’t read any of them just yet, but I did choose stories from only authors that I have read before and enjoyed their work.

More information will be on the forums. Join me!!!!!!!

THE BODY WILL FOLLOW by Rob E. Boley

The Body Will Follow opens with Carrie, a fairly normal thirty-something with a nice house, good friends and a boring job. Oh yes, and Carrie is possessed. She has lost all control of her body to malevolent spirits (who Carrie refer to as ‘the Wishes’), who use her for their own debauched purposes. When Carrie […]

THE VALANCOURT BOOK OF VICTORIAN CHRISTMAS GHOST STORIES, Vol. 4 Edited by Christopher Philippo

As editor Christopher Philippo clearly proves in his interesting introduction, the concept that telling ghost stories at Christmas gathered around a fireplace or collecting ghostly tales in the Christmas issue of a magazine were exclusively a British habit not shared by Americans is absolutely wrong. Hence, anthologies assembling stories written and/or published in America during […]

END OF THE ROAD by Brian Keene

The book is ostensibly […]

The teachers fear for […]
